How It Works

Six steps from curiosity to a permanent place in the history of the alphabet.

  1. Choose a Letter

    Every letter from A to Z exists exactly once. Open its Book to see who holds it now, what they paid, and everyone who held it before.

  2. Take Ownership

    Open the Take Ownership door, enter your name, and pay any amount from the platform position minimum up. No account is needed.

  3. Someone Can Pay More

    Your payment ranks on that letter's ownership ladder. Pay above the current highest and you take the crown; pay less and you hold a ranked position on the same ladder. The outcome is computed once, from your amount alone.

  4. Become the Current Face

    The highest paid position holds the Current Face: presented on the first page of the Book, on the homepage world, and on an Ownership Certificate. Your owner number is recorded forever.

  5. Take the Crown Back

    Any person or company can take the crown by paying strictly more than the current highest. Equal amounts never overturn it: the earlier payment holds the rank. That is what keeps the alphabet alive.

  6. Your Chapter Remains

    When your reign ends, your chapter freezes permanently: dates, amount, story. Lose the crown. Keep the chapter - and take it back any time by paying the full current highest again.
